Hwayi: A Monster Boy is a 2013 South Korean film of a 16 year-old boy, named Hwayi by five man who kidnapped him in a blackmailing scheme when he was a child, but raised and trained him to be a professional assassin.
His five fathers are from a notorious crime gang who lives in a deserted area and runs an agricultural farm as their legitimate business.
Hwayi’s five fathers plan for another crime and involves him for the first time. However, a kindhearted Hwayi had difficulty pulling the trigger when his father forced him to. Fearful of his father, Hwayi struggles to shoot the victim who turns out to be his birth father who he was separated from during the kidnapping case years ago. Hwayi’s life changes as he seeks revenge on his adopted five fathers when the truth of his pas unravels.
